Lentil Patties
Ingredients
1/2 C. lentils 1 chopped onion
2 C. soft whole wheat 3-4 T. bakon yeast
bread crumbs 1 t. salt
Soak lentils 3 hours, or overnight. Drain and spread on a plate
to dry. Put through food chopper and cook with water to cover
in a double boiler approximately 1 hour, adding as much
additional water as lentils will absorb. When cooked, stir in
bread crumbs, onion, bakon yeast and salt. Shape into patties
and roll in flour. Brown in hot oil, and serve with tomato
sauce.
