1 C. molasses
2 1/4 C. boiling water
1 T. baking soda
Mix together with your hands until crumbly
4 C. all-purpose flour, unsifted
3/4 C. vegetable oil
1/2 t. salt
1 lb. light brown sugar
Reserve one cup of crumb mixture and mix the rest with the
liquid. Pour mixture into a 9" x 13" baking pan, and sprinkle
with the reserved crumbs (mixture will not be thick like
conventional cake batter). Bake at 350 degrees for 45
minutes.
